Board Meeting Minutes
April 7, 2025
Call to Order- present: Debbie Miller, Julia Glass, Tim Newman, Robin Robbins, Terry Robbins, Ken Freeman, Steve Budde, Juan Lopez
Approval of March Minutes-unanimously approved
Treasurers Report-Robin Robbins reports current assets are at $34,474.04 with $19,815 in operations, $4000.01 in Events, and $10, 658 in investment CD. The CD is currently earning about $37 per month and matures in April.
Rides Committee Report – Terry Robbins reports rides are scheduled through the end of June. There is a new riders forum available on website that is open for discussions among members. The 8 event rides for club credit are all approved with ride leaders and are open for members to join.
Membership Report – Julie Glass reports there are currently 242 riders and that is a few less than last month and she will follow up with those to see what happened.
Spokes-Colin Benson is unable to attend today but Tim Newman encouraged anyone with ideas for content or pictures to share to send them to Colin
Ironman Update- Juan Lopez- the event is July 20th and we have 18 members registered for bike support stop #2 with 22 more needed
San Juan Island Club Tour Update- Steve Budde reports that he is working on recommended routes for riders for each day of the 3 day tour and interest has been high.
Monster Cookie- Ken Freeman gave an inspiring presentation highlighting the importance of volunteers for tasks large and small. David Philbrick noted that there are still positions to fill for MC 2025, but the spots are gradually getting volunteers.
Safe Routes to School- Beth Schmidt gave a lovely presentation about the importance of volunteers for the bicycle safety program in Salem and presented an award to the club for their contributions from the Council of Governors.
