1.         What is your favorite club ride?

My favorite club ride is any ride that takes us to or through Silverton for a quick stop at Gear Up.

Great coffee and carbs. Always fun to sit and hang out a bit.

2.         What is your favorite out-of-town ride?

My favorite out of town ride is the Centennial Trail. Couple that with a jaunt down the Hiawatha Trail and it is a fun week of riding

3.         Do you prefer to go uphill or downhill?

I enjoy going downhill but only after a good haul to get to the top. The downhill is the reward for energy well spent.

4.     What is the best part of being a club member?

The best part of being a club member is being a part of a great group of people. Everyone is so helpful and contributes to the overall success of each ride. The level of organization is phenomenal.

5.         Why do you ride your bike?

I ride my bike because it is part of who I am. It is such a joy to be out on a pretty day. I have been riding since high school when I bike commuted to a summer job when others drove. It seemed like a great way to start the day. I kept up my bike commute tradition for 30 plus years while working in downtown Salem. As our bike club shirt says, “You are just one ride away from a good mood!”
